Friday:
The French Banquet featured James Rohan, the hotel’s Director of Security, as the speaker. He, of course, follows in the footsteps of Gershom Odell, but kept to his promise to abstain from rock throwing during our stay.
Saturday Brunch:
The Saturday morning breakfast featued Saucisse Minuit, with Executive Chef Peter Timmins as the speaker. He follows, of course, in the great tradition of Louis Servan, Dean of les quinze maitres and head chef.

The American Banquet is the most famous meal in the mystery novel genre is the American Dinner at the Kanawha Spa in Rex Stout's Too Many Cooks. The Friday dinner from The Cookbook featured a talk by Kevin Hanson, Greenbrier County Prosecuting Attorney. He succeeded Barry Tolman, of course. |
